See Malkin. She's attacking the memorial from the angle of it resembling the Islamic crescent. I'm sure she's right and this was deliberate. These idiot architects are all about symbolism. He intentionally designed this with Islam in mind. To deny it, means you deny all symbolism in architecture because this is much more obvious than so much they tout.

However, all that being said, I'm against it because it's a poor design. What's inspiring about it? These guys were heroes who won the first battle for the West in the War on Terror. Let's uplift them and give them a memorial worthy of the nation's greatest heroes. How would you feel if that plane had hit and destroyed the White House? What a victory it would have been for terrorism. Never forget these brave Americans. Too little has been said about them. Too little has been done to honor them. Let's not sully their memory in a misguided attempt at multicultural understanding.
